Sony PS3 price cut? Yes? No?

Howard Stringer, the man who's holding Sony by a string at the moment (pun intended) has indicated that prices of the PS3 might drop before the Christmas buying spread. A process is currently underway to "refine" the price point of the PS3. Stringer has said in an interview that the process will be complete before Christmas, hinting that the price will drop (surely, we're not talking about a price increase, huh?).

When asked about the success of the Wii, he said in typical fashion that Sony is not competing with it. Well, of course, because if they are, you would lose out alot, Howard. For the price of 1 PS3, you can get, what? 3 Wiis?

So it seems that matter now is by how much the PS3 price will drop by. It certainly won't go as low as the Wii, so the main competitor is of course, the Xbox 360. Well, hold on to your money a little while longer, because PS3 is about to get a little cheaper.

Then, of course, the other consoles are already cheaper.
