New Sakura Tasien coming out

For a lot of people, this news is probably nothing more than just another game. But for those devoted followers of the series out there, this is indeed the best news since ages. A new Sakura Taisen game (better known as Sakura Wars in the west) is coming out! If you bought a PSP just because you want to play the Sakura Taisen Remake, now you'll need to buy a DS as well, because that's where all the action is. That's right, a new Sakura Tasien game on the DS. The details are still sketchy, but it looks like the casts from all three Troupe (Tokyo, Paris and New York) will be featured.

Sakura Taisen is probably not very well known outside Japan, despite the availability of the anime in the west. The main problem is of course, the language. None of the dozen games or so are available in languages other than Japanese (ok, so I lie). But that never stopped people like me from getting the games. I've got Sakura Tasien 1 and 2 on the Saturn and Sakura Tasien Atsuki Chishioni on the PS2 in hope that one day, I will learn enough Japanese to play them.

I'll probably end up playing them anyway, like I did with TokiMemo all those years ago, but that's another story for another time.

Check out wiki for more details on the series. It's a very popular series, and it's one that is often overlooked by western players.
