Wii are more friendlier than before

An interesting article from NY Times about the cooperative nature of Nintendo for its Wii console than its predecessor, the GameCube. Nintendo is more open about letting other third party company to develop games for the Wii. They even went as far as showing companies like Namco Bandai the Wii prototype, something that they haven't done before.

I guess they have learnt their lessons from GameCube, where only 271 titles are available as compared to PS2's 1467 (and counting, even though PS3 is out for more than six months). PS2 banks on the number of games available, even though there are rubbish games in that big pile of discs.

It's worth a read.
